Shelly
Mars
Swifty
Lazar called her the Lucille Ball of the nineties. Her powerful
comic performances that push herself and her audience beyond their
limits have caused comparisons to Lilly Tomlin, Patty Smith and
Robin Williams. In her one woman shows "Life on Mars", "Whiplash;Tale
of a Tomboy", "Mars Behind Bars" and others, Mars shocks,
thrills and inspires with her compelling characterizations of
men, women and even animals. She is a master storyteller who writes,
stages produces and performs her own shows.

"There's a touch of Joan Rivers in her... echoes, too of the brassy
Bette Midler... ....but mostly Reno is her own woman. I hereby
declare myself a fan."

Reno
Do you
remember a funny documentary on HBO in the late nineties
about a woman who tracks down the mother who'd given her up at
birth, with special appearances by Mary Tyler Moore and
Lilly Tomlin? It was called RENO FINDS HER MOM
and it was quite the rage, as was RENO IN RAGE AND REHAB
for HBO comedy hour which got her an ACE Award nomination.
Her RENO
ONCE REMOVED was commissioned by Lincoln Center
and sold out with rave reviews. Her non-solo acting includes the
voice of Edith Ann's shrink in Lilly Tomlin and Jane
Wagner's animated specials on ABC-TV; the clown (voice)
in Rosie O'Donnell's KIDS ARE PUNNY for HBO.
Her most recent
offering, CITIZEN RENO, also wowed critics and and
her next film RENO FINDS HER MIND is in pre production.
Reno is among 15 other distinguished solo performer/writers (Lilly
Tomlin, Eric Bogosian, Danny Hoch, Spalding
Gray, Whoopie Goldberg, etc.) who's work will be published
in Theatre Communication's Group's "Extreme Exposure: An
Anthology of Solo Performance Texts from the Twentieth Century"

Epstein
and Hassan
Epstein
and Hassan are the interracial husband and wife comedy team of
that long running, crowd pleaser The Black, The Jew & You,
an exploration of racial stereotypes, interracial sexual etiquette,
and other "naked truths". In addition to their hilarious set routines,
they engage the audience by posing personal questions that implore
participation and frank revelation. This is truly refreshing adult
(comic) entertainment; real, down home, sort of Sophie Tucker
meets Red Foxx kind of stuff (though, I guess, in reverse!).
